Val Dyshlov is an award-winning artist who is a resident of Marlboro, NJ. He earned an M.F.A. in graphics and drawing from Kharkov Art School, Ukraine, in 1979, and then worked as an art teacher and manager of Experimental Graphics Lab at his alma mater. Since 1982, Val was an exhibiting member of the Union of Artists of the Soviet Union and was awarded several residencies and fellowships. During this time, he created significant mural pieces for public buildings. Val moved to the United States with his family in 1995. He donated his oils for a benefit auction in support of the September 11th aftermath liquidation in New York City in 2002.

Val Dyshlov’s biography is included in the World Encyclopedia of Artists, K.G.Sauer, Germany.

Val is an associate member of the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury and of the Society for Art of Imagination in London.

He has participated in numerous national and international art shows, receiving awards, one of them a first place in experimental oil painting in an annual 2002 competition of The Artists Magazine. He has had several one-man shows, the most recent of them in 2005 in Tribeca, in 2004 at the Guild of Creative Art, and in 2002 in Florida.

He is affiliated with the Printmaking Council of New Jersey.
