Highly regarded as a pastel artist, Sangita Phadke’s larger than life fruits and vegetables have earned her numerous awards including the Audubon Artists Gold Medal of Honor, and Best in Show at the Somerset Art Association, The New Jersey Pastel Painters Society, and The Guild of Creative Art. Sangita’s work has been shown in national and international exhibitions at the Salmagundi Club, the National Arts Club, the Butler Institute of American Art, The Fort Wayne Museum of Art, The Art Gallery of Hamilton Ontario, the San Diego Art Institute, and the Artists Magazine. She also teaches a pastel course at the Guild of Creative Art. She is on the Board of Governors of The Pastel Society of America, a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Noyes Museum of Art as well as a juried member of the American Artist’s Professional League and the National Association of Women Artists.

 

This workshop will focus on the following topics:

Color Theory, Blending & Layering Pastels, Value Studies, the Development of a Painting,and Selecting Compositions
