Robert Rainville
“Throughout the past four years of high school I have discovered that due to my intense perfectionism, realism is
my passion. Since I began this program, I have always attempted to recreate every minute detail of my work.
With this inclination to create work as realistic as possible, it has shaped the themes of my more recent art to
depict a raw version of current teenage life. Viewing my peers and the way the attempt to cope with life has
inspired me to express how today’s teens live, and the emotions that come along with it. I have always believed
that the purpose of art is to evoke emotion. That is why my art does not hesitate to show the harsh realities of
life as disturbing as they may be to the viewer. My art is intended to make people feel.”
This resident of Shrewsbury has been a Studio Art major at Red Bank Regional High School for all four years.
He is constantly inspired by his experiences in life and the emotions he sees in other people. Robert R. will be
pursuing film in college where he will continue to depict the dark realities of life in an exaggerated manner.
