“I have always looked for ways to be creative for as long as I can remember. I am very much a technical
person, and I tend to focus on how I want to do things when I make art. Learning techniques and working by
hand is my strong suit, I would say. You could definitely call me a perfectionist. I’ve always been detail-
oriented in everything I do. Most of my subject matter is realistic or based in realism. I find inspiration in
everything I observe, from nature to urban life. My middle school art teacher at SBS was the one to introduce
me to the idea of pursuing art as a major in high school, and I can’t thank her enough for pushing me to do
it. It has been an amazing four years at RBR. I have been exposed to a wide variety of techniques, mediums,
and styles that I never would’ve known about if I wasn’t here. My artistic ability has improved so much and
art has a special place in my life going forward.”
This Shrewsbury resident has been a Studio Art major at Red Bank Regional High School for four years. She
would like to thank her parents, brother, sister, and the rest of her family for giving her unconditional support
throughout high school. She would also like to thank the teachers who gave her the opportunity to spend
these important years doing what she loves. She will be attending college in the fall tp further pursue her
interests.
