“There is no way to pinpoint my inspiration down to one thing. I think a major part of being a talented artist is
being comfortable with your style, but also experimenting with new mediums and subjects. Being a New
Jersey resident my whole life, it is easy to say that much of my artwork is inspired by what is around me,
from the environment and locations, to my friends and family. I find color to be a very important aspect of art,
as none of my pieces would be complete without it. I hope that the creativity and concentration needed for
the Studio Art class will carry through my professional career.”

A Shrewsbury resident, this artist has been enrolled in the Studio Art Program since her freshman year at
RBR. After a rigorous first two years in the program, junior and senior year became a time of exploration and
experimentation. Jordan’s family and friends are constantly inspiring her work, as well as her swim coach,
Cathy, a freelance artist. She will be attending University of North Carolina at Wilmington in the fall for
swimming, and has yet to decide on a major.
