“In eighth grade, I applied to Red Bank Regional’s visual arts program because I loved to draw and it seemed
to be one of the only things that came easily to me; art was an escape from my struggles. I didn’t realize how
much I would learn and how much work would be involved, but it all paid off, and in the journey I found
confidence in my work. I am inspired by many things, particularly in my family, my travels, and my two dogs.
This collection showcases the artwork I have created this past year. I have come out of my shell and explored
new things artistically. I am making art that I like, and they each represent a part of me. Through learning
various styles, artists, and techniques, I have been empowered as an artist. I hope the viewer enjoys what I
have created, they can also find something that inspires them.”
This Little Silver resident has been part of Red Bank Regional (RBR) Studio Arts Program for the past four
years. She lives with her parents, Brian and Cindy Fagan, and her siblings Brian and Keira. Art has always
been a passion from early on in her life and under the guidance of her art teacher, Claudia O’Connor, she
has trained in the use of formal qualities and experimented with different styles, mediums, and techniques.
She will be attending college in the fall and plans on minoring in art and continuing her studies.
