Community Outreach

The Guild of Creative Art seeks to bring the creative process to groups and individuals of all ages, levels and backgrounds. We believe in the power of art for community enrichment. Our programs are created by professional artists and our goal is to provide entertaining and educational events. Call 732-741-1441, email us or stop by to learn more about our Community Outreach programs.

The Docent Program

Free docent tours of the art gallery are offered to students, adults and residents from assisted living facilities and the special needs community. They learn to observe, analyze and evaluate art in the context of history and appreciate different styles and types of art. This is a very popular on-going outreach program under the direction of David Levy and Barbara Russo, Guild President and Vice President respectively.

Visiting Artists

Upon request, a visiting artist will work with all members of the community from preschool to special needs. The program will be tailored to the needs of the group. This program combines interdisciplinary projects which develop critical thinking skills, and an awareness of one’s surroundings, to problem-solving and thinking outside the box. These are transferable skills not only in the visual arts, but in our everyday life.
