WATERCOLOR PAINTING – Basic Skills Required

Randy will help students learn the skills necessary to create their own great painting with an emphasis on drawing.  Whether you would like to be able to do a vacation painting/sketch, or create serious watercolor paintings, this is the class for you!  The class is structured so that students will sharpen their fundamental techniques and learn properties of the watercolor medium to create a successful painting. Students will be working from photographs and/or still life subjects. Each class will have a “Paint Along” available for the first two hours, showing a step by step painting for the students who are more comfortable learning in this manner. A reference photo will be supplied to students before each class so that they can have it drawn on watercolor paper and be ready to paint if they choose to follow along. For students working on their own project, instruction will be personalized to suit individual needs and interests. Classes are limited in size so that each student will receive one on one time.
